The 2008 Bologna Auto Show starts on December 3 and the Japanese manufacturer plans to present the redesigned hatchback 2010 Mazda 3. However the company has already opened the first pictures of the vehicle which reveal a lot of details to those who are interested.
A few weeks ago Mazda 3 sibling sedan had its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but Europe is more anxious to see the hatchback.
First of all the vehicle comes with the newly created 2.2-liter turbodiesel engine which is also installed in Mazda 6. The manufacturer claims it meets new Euro Stage 5 emissions regulations. The customers will be given a choice of a standard-power version with 147 horsepower or high-power with 182 hp.
For those who prefer gasoline in their autos, Mazda offers 2.5-liter inline-4 engine with 167 hp and 168 pound-feet of torque.
The optional features are the same as in many vehicles nowadays: keyless entry, Bluetooth and push-button start.
Mazda has announced that it starts selling the second-generation Axela in Japan. The car named Mazda 3 in the U.S. is priced at the home market for $16,954 to $27,350. The automaker has big plans on it saying there will be approximately 2,000 units sold each month.
