The Jeep fans were probably surprised by a new look of 2008 Jeep Liberty. It is absolutely different than the previous year model. On the outside it looks so much bigger and squarer.

This vehicle is made for off-road drive! It has big approach and departure angle, a four-wheel drive and no body flex. Throttle tip-in is really good especially on gravel or sand. A real Jeep indeed, but this time it came out more truck like. It improved its platform that allows more space for cargo. Even though it is supposed to give more room for a driver and in the rear seat, it became more uncomfortable for both.

The soul of the Jeep is good as well. The 3.7 liter engine has 210 horsepower, it is most torque (235 pound-feet) out of all latest SUVs. You can choose either 4-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.

Some of the experts were upset with the new model of the Jeep Liberty. They say it has spongy break pedal, bad engine NVH, 194-foot stopping distance and uncomfortable narrow cushions.
