Lotus finally revealed the name of its project Eagle at 2008 London Auto Show. The coupe received the name of a Portugal city, Evora. It will be build at Hethel, England, at the amount of about 2,000 vehicles a year.
Evora has 3.5-liter V6 engine which allows the car to get 276 horsepower. The top speed is 160 mph. It is mostly aluminum and weights less than 3,000 pounds. It has asymmetric wheels at front and back, short rear overhang and long front one. The company offers an option of a reversing camera with a removable satellite navigation system.
The cabin of the coupe is wide and has enough space for two big "American males in the front seats." It is not stuffed, but looks luxurious. The sides and seats are trimmed in aluminum and hand-stitched leather. Evora has new Alpine multimedia system with a 7-inch screen and Bluetooth and IPod functions.
The sales on Evora will start in spring, 2009. The bottom price is $90,000.
