Mitsubishi has announced it is ready to present new Pajero Sport at 2008 Moscow Auto Show in August.
The SUV will have two models: for five and seven passengers. It has water-repellent seats and waterproof cargo bay. A customer can order a diesel or gasoline engine with a variety of 2.5-3.5-liter capacity.
The Japanese company is not planning to sell Pajero in North America or Western Europe. People there are so concerned about gas prices; they don’t want to own any kind of SUV.
Instead, Pajero is going to be offered to Russian, Middle Eastern and Latin American customers. It will be renamed to Challenger in Australia, Montero Sport in South America and Nativa in the rest of the Latin American countries.
The auto maker has big plans on the SUV sales at all these markets. In 2007 they sold 100,000 vehicles in Russia. This year they want to succeed as well. The Russian customers will be able to purchase a five-passenger model with 3.2-liter diesel engine this fall.
Audi considers Russia as a good market for muscle cars and sends RS6 sedan to the 2008 Moscow Auto Show.
The car manufacturers are preparing themselves for 2008 Moscow Auto Show in August, 26. Mazda decided to present there the new Kazamai concept crossover and has already shown the pictures of it.
Mitsubishi plans to present new Lancer Evolution on the Beijing Auto Show next week. After the show the company will work hard on producing enough vehicles for all the main global auto markets.
Mitsubishi presented an all-electric car on the 2008 New-York Auto Show. While the cars which use gas as fuel were forbidden to drive at the show the little iMiEV was running around the hall watching its competitors in their booths.
