This year at the Paris Auto Show Mitsubishi decided to present sport vehicles: Lancer Sportback and Colt Ralliant.
Since hatchbacks are most popular in Europe the Japanese car manufacturer made a good choice by developing Sportback specifically for this market.
Mitsubishi offers a choice of engines: Lancer can run with a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with 141 horsepower and 2.0-liter diesel with 138 hp. The hatchback will also have a variety of transmissions: five- and six-speed manual, four-speed automatic or six-speed continuously variable gearbox.
As a sports car Lancer received good springs and shocks, strong brakes, returned chassis with thick stabilizer bars and 215/45R18 tires.
Colt concept has already been at the market before, but this time it is improved and the manufacturer offers it in three- and four-door variants. The new sedan has 1.5-liter engine, which provides 148 horsepower.
The year 2010 is not here yet, but the manufacturers already start recalling vehicles marked as 2010 models. Here is one of them: Mitsubishi is requested to recall 531 of 2010 Endeavor for airbag problem.
Mitsubishi plans to start sales of i MiEV in Japan this summer and then expand to Europe in 2010. Meanwhile the company works on the new concept, Mitsubishi i MiEV Sport Air that is presented at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show.
Mitsubishi has great success with the small electric car i MiEV and wants to expand the sales. Besides the fact it already plans to sell the car on the European market as a Mitsubishi vehicle, the manufacturer is making an agreement to deliver it to Europe under Peugeot name too.
Shocking news from Japan: all the work of Mitsubishi Motorsports is stopped, so there will be no more rallying, no more Dakar prizes.
The French auto maker prepared a really sweet candy for this auto show in Paris. New updated Megane Trophy received additional 30 horses (360 total) comparing to the previous version.
