The French auto maker prepared a really sweet candy for this auto show in Paris. New updated Megane Trophy received additional 30 horses (360 total) comparing to the previous version.
The aerodynamics of the car was increased by 20% improvement in downforce and 15% reduction in drag. The Trophy looks very much like Megane Coupe, has mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 engine from Nissan and it plays main role at the World Series by Renault this year.
The Trophy makes impression on people with the butterfly doors, 18-inch wheels, updated front spoiler and rear diffuser. The sport car fans will appreciate semi-automatic transmission with paddle shifters, tubular chassis and double-wishbone suspension with dampers which can be adjusted any time.
In a few months Megane Trophy goes on sale as an update kit for the already existing models. If an owner of a Renault wants to get these additional features, it could be done at the Alpine factory in Dieppe.
Renault is planning to bring several vehicles to the 2008 Paris Auto Show in the beginning of October. There will be Mégane Hatch, Laguna Coupe and a high-end crossover Renault Ondelios.
Automakers of the whole world go through hard times and the only way of salvation is government help. While American Big Three asks for more and more from Washington DC, Swedish government has already agreed to help Volvo and Saab with their development.
The history of cars has known several designs which proposed six wheels for a sport auto.
This year at the Paris Auto Show Mitsubishi decided to present sport vehicles: Lancer Sportback and Colt Ralliant.
Many auto manufacturers are preparing for a good debut at the Paris Auto Show this coming week and some of the presentations look gorgeous on pictures and will definitely be even better in reality on the podiums.
