Renault is planning to bring several vehicles to the 2008 Paris Auto Show in the beginning of October. There will be Mégane Hatch, Laguna Coupe and a high-end crossover Renault Ondelios. The last one is the concept, which should get popular in the nearest future according to its creator.
Patrick Le Quément, Renault designer, is very proud of the auto, calling it “a whole new response to the call of the open road”. His works are always unusual and weird looking and this helped him to become a legend in the car design business.
Renault Ondelios has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, front-wheel drive and seven-speed double-clutch transmission. It gets 201 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. There are also two 20kW electric motors, which put the auto at all-wheel drive under certain road conditions.
It is a six-passenger vehicle: the third row is presented by individual seats with electrically ajustable backs and footrests. The second row seats slide fold down to give an easy access to the back.
The French auto maker prepared a really sweet candy for this auto show in Paris. New updated Megane Trophy received additional 30 horses (360 total) comparing to the previous version.
