2009 Frankfurt Auto Show: Redesigned Citroen C3

Citroen C3

During long summer vacation auto manufacturers are preparing new models for the autumn shows. 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show is going to be first largest one and car makers already set their plans for it.

French company is preparing its redesigned supermini, Citroen C3. The manufacturer is proud to admit that the new car sets company’s record for fuel emission letting out less than 100g/km of CO2. Citroen C3 runs on diesel engine, but the automaker plans to reduce even gasoline emissions to this number by 2011.

New supermini is ready to beat any other little cars: it is 115 inches long which is 6 inches shorter that Honda Fit. It also has a 33.4-foot turning, this is a whole foot less than Fit. Unfortunately the Citroen loses in capacity: the hatch space is 10.6 cubic feet which is only half of what Honda can offer.

The redesigned Citroen C3 outputs 90-horsepower with a 1.6-liter HDi engine. It is equipped with iPod and Bluetooth and being a true French car C3 has an integrated air freshener with “pleasant fragrance” as the manufacturer says.
