2010 Acura Offers Six-Speed Manual Transmission

2010 Acura

We still live in 2008, but the auto manufacturers go far to the future. Acura created 2010 model and even before the year begins and the vehicle goes on sale, the designers offer new options for it.

Originally 2010 TL SH-AWD Acura comes with the same TL manual transmission as the previous generation model, but the company offers an option of six-speed manual clutch which was specially developed for the Super Handling all-wheel-drive system in the new car.

Maybe it is not much important for an American driver, but the Japanese people pay a lot of attention to the details, so the manufacturer is proud to note the new transmission is going to improve car weight distribution by 1%, “generating a 58/42 ratio versus the current five-speed automatic transmission's 59/41 ratio”.

An important fact is the six-speed clutch also has Hill Start Assist system, which prevents 2010 Acura from rolling downwards if stopped in a hill.

The price of this optional addition has not been announced yet.
