Audi plans to launch the North American sales of highly advertised compact SUV, Q5, in March. The manufacturer says it will be an equal competitor to the other foreign sport-utility autos like BMW X3, Lexus RX 350 and Infiniti EX35.
Q5 has a 3.2-liter V6 FSI direct injection engine that outputs 270 horsepower. The manufacturer also equipped it with Quattro all-wheel drive and six-speed Tiptronic transmission.
Audi is proud to introduce Q5 in the U.S. with its first Generation 3 MMI and navigation system that shows the real-time traffic. The compact SUV runs on 18-inch wheels with all-season tires. The taillights have LEDs for more brightness and less energy usage.
All American Q5s have trailer brake controller which allows to pull the trailers over 1,500 pounds.
The SUV uses 18 miles per gallon in the city limit and 23 mpg on the highway.
The price of the new Audi is still a secret, but the company representatives say it will be in the same range as the competitors’ which is about $32,000 - $40,000.
