Chrysler Is Ready to Get Rid of Dodge Viper

2008 Dodge Viper

The iconic American sports car, Dodge Viper, inspired certain people who are ready to investigate the market for the possibility of the purchase of the model. Chrysler considered it as a good proposition and is ready to listen to their ideas.

Dodge Viper was inspired by the legendary AC Cobra. It is assembled by hands. Till this moment the car was a special symbol of the Chrysler company and is considered to be a part of the auto maker’s heritage.

Bob Nardelli, Chrysler chairman and CEO, says the offer is really interesting, but the company will take into consideration the opinion and interests of those who supported the car all this time, including dealers, suppliers, employees and even the “group of Viper owners and enthusiasts”.

There is no certain schedule for these plans and nobody knows how much time it will take to come up with the final decision about the sale of Viper business.

More than half a year ago Chrysler has already announced it was possible Viper could be discontinued, because it did not “deliver the desired halo effect” any more. Seems, there are some enthusiasts who are ready to rescue the iconic American sports car from the complete fall.
