Chrysler Recalls 2009 Dodge Ram

2009 Dodge Ram

The owners of 2009 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 trucks probably regret they have decided to purchase a new model. In January National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) asked Chrysler to recall the pickups because of a steering problem.

This time the trouble is in the clutch. Although the problem was discovered in winter the recall starts only in March.

Chrysler
says there is nothing serious and no injuries or fatalities have occurred in connection to faulty clutch. However, NHTSA wrote, “the clutch pedal connecting rod to the clutch master cylinder may separate from the master cylinder”. As a result, 2009 Dodge Ram owners will come across “increased stopping distance and engine stalling”, which can lead to an auto accident.

The recall starts this month. The dealerships are supposed to replace the clutch master cylinder hydraulic system free of charge. If there are any questions the pick-up owners should contact Chrysler at 800-853-1403.
