20% of all new auto sales in 2007 were leased. This number easily rises in 2008. People fall into this temptation not knowing the basic rules which can be a trap for them later.
Many dealers advertise lease deals on the new vehicles for only $175-250 a month, though their real price is about $500 a month. The commercials don’t say, you have to pay more if you don’t give enough down payment or drive too much, a person realizes this only when he reads the contract or faces the reality by “breaking” the rules of the agreement.
The best 2008 lease deals offer you really low prices: Nissan Sentra - $175 a month, Honda Civic - $199, Volkswagen Beetle - $249, Chrysler Touring - $259… But don’t forget to check out the mileage limit: Nissan, Honda and Volkswagen will be at a low price with 12,000 miles a year, while Chrysler and some other brands ask you not to exceed 10,500. Just for a record it is necessary to say, an average driver uses about 15,000 miles a year.
Lease companies also require a perfect condition of a vehicle which is not always possible even for a very careful driver. And in addition to this the auto has to get regular oil change and tire rotation.
We don’t deny for some people a lease is really the best way out of a present situation, but it is always necessary to be a cautious person before you decide to make an important step like this.
It is a common thing when a person buys a vehicle, uses it as long as he likes or needs it and then sells it to buy a newer one or the one that suits the purposes more.
The shockingly high prices on fuel seem to go down and almost every day we can see the gas is getting more affordable again.
The economy of the country is going down and the people try not to make a mistake in spending their money using it only on food, electricity, gas or other necessary things.
It is not very profitable to be an SUV manufacturer nowadays, because the trucks cost much to be made and the prices at the dealerships are falling down because nobody wants them.
Surely it is good, people buy less gas and don’t spend as much on all the factors: fuel, maintenance and even car insurance.
