criminal_in_handcuffs.jpg

Connecticut law requires the drivers to present their car insurance card when they register a vehicle and to keep it in the auto at all the times. And it is needless to say the car insurance is absolutely mandatory. So, any car can be stopped on the road and if the driver will not have the insurance card with him, he will get certain punishment.

For some people this law brought an idea of tricking the government. They make fake car insurance cards and sell them. Connecticut administration says the sales of them increased after the enforcement of the law and the problems with the economy of the country.

The consumers are warned not to break the law by using these cards. The state authorities can easily detect them by scanning. The information in the Department of Motor Vehicles DMV) is updates every day and if the policy has expired the insurance companies notify the DMV immediately.

If the agent will find out your card is fake or the policy has expired, the registration will be voided and the license plates will have to be surrendered or confiscated.
