GEICO associates are going to Burdell-Hunt Magnet School, Georgia, to teach classes on the importance of business, economics and free enterprise as part of the Junior Achievement. This is the seventh year when the insurance company is participating in the event and it involves 400 students from kindergarten through the fifth grade. The lessons take place from Jan. 25 till Jan. 29.
The students will be taught by 24 specialists who are planning to break them to two categories: younger children will learn the difference between wants and needs and will get some hints on how to save; older students will have classes on how money works in society on national level. The GEICO associates are planning to share their own experiences as well to explain how every person becomes a part of the big system of successful economic society.
"It's a tremendous honor to have business leaders in our community like GEICO come to our school to provide instruction about the importance of economics," says Burdell-Hunt Principal Tanya Allen.
