GM and Chrysler Get Government “Help”

President Obama and GM CEO Wagoner

U.S. president Barack Obama got tired with the constant begging of auto companies for bailouts and decided to stop the waste of tax dollars. He says, "We cannot continue to excuse poor decisions". He wants the American auto industry to survive, but not with the leaders who cannot run the companies right.

Although Obama claims he and his team are not going to run the auto manufacturing firms, his people are working closely with GM now to create a better business plan than was offered before. To his mind, General Motors did not get rid of all “unprofitable brands”.

A few days earlier the Chairman of the company, Rick Wagoner, was forsed to leave his position by the administrative officials. Many other directors of the company were replaced as well, because according to president’s data, over $80 billion was lost since 2004 while Wagoner and his team were leading GM.

Chrysler
has also received instructions from Obama. The president wants Fiat and Chrysler to come to final agreement within 30 days, otherway, the American manufacturer will not receive any government help and can file for bancruptcy.
