Last time we were writing about car-buying service, today we would like to give you advice how to do it better and not to get tricked or cheated.

The best variant for any person would be if they had friends or relatives who had already used the service like this and can give you a decent piece of advice. Then you could also check the information about the company your friend used at the Better Business Bureau.

If this is not a situation for you and there is nobody around who could give you trustworthy information, the best thing to do is to find out what car-buying services you have in your area and ask the companies themselves to give you their ex-customers’ contact information. This way you can ask the people what they liked or disliked in the service, if they were satisfied with the results. Based on their opinion you can either agree to deal with the car-buyer or choose somebody else.

And be sure the price you get is ALL you have to pay and there are no other “hidden” fees. Sometimes a person thinks he gets a good deal and only when he comes to take his car, he finds out there are some dealer’s fees and other costs to which he was not prepared.

The best choice in this situation would be the paperwork prepared before you make any payments. You can ask the agents to do this and then there will be no surprises for you at the very end. Often a portion of the payment has to be made beforehand and then it is non-refundable. Don’t get in a trap being unaware about all the fees!
