The world economy is falling down but there will be always somebody who can make profit even at the bad times like this. According to the analysts at the CIEBS 6th Annual China Automotive Industry Forum in Shanghai the car manufacturers who devoted themselves to the production of fuel efficient and green cars, won’t lose as much as the other ones.
Even though in some parts of the world the fuel prices went down, they are still high in many countries. More than that the crisis made people realize how good it is to own a fuel efficient vehicle and save on gas, so when they want to look for a new auto, first of all the customers look for the one which doesn’t “drink” much.
Secondly, the environmental protection companies are very strong and they insist on the production of “green” cars, so auto industry turns to them and watches the amount of fuel emission. At the same time the people in China also pay more attention to the electric cars, so the sales on them are very high.
After the investigation of the second biggest car market GM, Volkswagen, Toyota and BYD Automobile started investing more into the production of the fuel efficient hybrids and electric cars in China.
Indonesian government has held the 2009 Indonesian Auto Show from July 24 to August 2 and following the world fashion on fuel-efficient vehicles the officials announced there that they were going "green". The Finance Minister Sri Mulyani says it is very important to invest in the development of eco-friendly technologies and design of small cars.
