Lee Iacocca 45th Anniversary Limited Edition Ford Mustang

Iacocca Mustang

Ford is making a limited edition Mustang to the name of its “godfather” Lee Iacocca. The car will be built on the 2009 Mustang platform and will feature some accents of the classic 60’s models.

Lee Iacocca works on the special Mustang together with the designer Michael Leone. The car will be built by the Californian agency Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters.

Iacocca Mustang is offered with a choice of 320-horsepower Ford 4.6-liter V8 engine or its supercharged alternative with 400 horses. Despite of the engine choice the customers will receive a five-speed manual transmission. The car stands on 20-inch wheels with Goodyear Eagle RSA tires.

The manufacturer equipped the Mustang with Ford Racing handling package with firm springs and revalved shocks. Some of the stronger braking features from Ford Racing will be offered as an option.

The interior is made with leather seats which have Iacocca logo and the car’s number embroidered on the headrests. In addition there will be aluminum Iacocca-badged sill plates, and dash plaques with serial numbers.

There will be exactly 45 models of the Iacocca Mustang the orders to which will be accepted in July. The price of the car has not bee announced yet.
