Lotus celebrated its 60th anniversary and the company decided to make diamond-incrusted Europa model, because this precious stone is a traditional gift for the 60th anniversaries of all kinds. The 164 round-cut diamonds, which are installed in the car’s body, have total value of $198,454. The auto looks impressive and awesome; this is why the company calls it “a real gem of a car”.
Besides diamonds Lotus Europa looks great because of the high-gloss black paint. It is covered with the tiny gems which make it look like it got into a rain of precious stones. The interior is made with the quilted trim and special rev counter. And the little diamonds are installed into the speedometer too.
Unfortunately for those who might have planned to steal the precious car, the Lotus on the display of the show was not real. The auto makers decided not to put the $268,000 model in front of a big audience. In fact, the Europa at the show was covered with the “replica diamonds”.
