Mercedes-Benz is making a new limited edition model, SL63 AMG Edition IWC, together with Swiss luxury watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen. This is not the first time when the two companies are working together.
The representatives of the both companies came together in 2004. Then the world met their first joint model, CLS55 AMG IWC Engineer. Now they decided to repeat the same experience.
This fall Mercedes will present the new limited model. Only 200 owners will be able to purchase the car. The new Edition will be delivered with one of the watches made by IWC. SL63 AMG has 6.3-liter V8 engine and gains 518 horsepower. In addition it has seven-speed automatic transmission.
The watch, which goes along with the car, is made out of stainless steel with the sapphire glass. The wristband and face are made in the stile of the auto itself. The AMG logo is engraved on the back cover of the watch. The time piece like this by itself costs more than $4,000.
