Mitsubishi Recalls 2010 Endeavors
The year 2010 is not here yet, but the manufacturers already start recalling vehicles marked as 2010 models. Here is one of them: Mitsubishi is requested to recall 531 of 2010 Endeavor for airbag problem.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has discovered that the side airbag frames at both driver’s and front passenger’s seats have not been welded properly which leads to improper work of front seat-mounted airbags in case of a side impact crash. This problem has to be fixed by auto specialists in Mitsubishi dealerships.
The manufacturer has announced that it stopped selling 2010 Endeavors on September, 3, 2009 in order to correct the problem in all “potentially affected vehicles.”
The owners of 2010 Endeavors are expected in the dealerships starting September 22. The specialists will check the weld condition of the retainer bracket and replace the seatback for free if the weld will appear insufficient.
