High gas prices make people think what kind of vehicle they’d better get, what kind of fuel it should have. Many deny diesel at once, because its price is so much higher. Don’t rush and think for a minute. Nowadays diesel vehicles are different than the diesels of the 70s.
Car makers’ mind flies high and they invent so many interesting things which might be considered by those who think on buying a new auto. Due to California law about diesel engines being main smog makers and air polluters, many diesel vehicles were taken away from there. Several states followed the law and did the same. But in 2008 several car manufacturers made diesel trucks which pass even California standards.
Mercedes engines use urea, a liquid that must be poured into the engine together with oil change. It is an organic thing which can even be used as a fertilizer and it reduces the remission of oxides in nitrogen. Volkswagen designed the trap which captures harmful particles before they come out of the exhaust.
Auto makers plan to put diesel into their luxury cars and launch the diesel engine production like this. The engines will be turbocharged and this gives the diesel car the same driving feeling as a gasoline car.
German auto makers are working hard on creating good diesel engines which will not pollute air as much and can be accepted by different states, even with the strict standards as California.
Together with the standard features a buyer of a new car can add options such as back-up cameras, heated or air-conditioned seats, Bluetooth, sport features and many others. All the features add cost to the new car, but not all of them increase its value for a resale.
The current position of General Motors might scare people and turn them away from buying the cars from them; however, filing for bankruptcy is not the same as going out of business.
As a rule people do not keep receipts unless there is a warranty on the product they purchase. The same comes to the times when a customer receives some kind of service: the receipt is given after it is done, so the person does not think the receipt is necessary.
