Very often pets are members of a family and people care about them as much as they do about their own children. They go shopping with them, on a picnic in a park or just traveling in an RV. All the members of the family are protected during the trip but not the pet. If an accident happens, people have insurance to go to the hospital to get medical care, but the pet is left alone.
Insurance company Progressive thought about this and decided to offer pet insurance for RV owners starting with March 31. The new Pet Injury Coverage will pay up to $500 if the pet is hurt or dies in a crash, fire or flood. In September 2007 they have already offered general pet protection for car owners and now they insure even those who travel in RVs.
To attract people to this new kind of insurance the company offers discount on other insurance policies like Comprehensive and Collision or overall coverage. RV owners will also pay less for their long term RV coverage if they have insurance on their dogs or cats.
Bank Lloyds started a comparison website on which the consumers can check for the prices on car insurance and see what will satisfy their personal needs best.
In 2004 some insurance companies in Washington got several claims about car accidents that looked very suspicious. Safeco, Farmers Insurance and State Farm insurance companies called upon California Department of Insurance to find out more about the cases.
The competition among insurance companies is growing in Massachusetts. The government of the state finally allowed the insurance companies to set their rates as they want.
Car insurance is the necessary thing you must have.
