Insurers say that the most dangerous drivers are those who have high-pressure jobs which require rush-hour driving and a lot of phone-talking.
According to statistics judges and lawyers half of the time report about previous accidents when they file the papers for a new auto insurance policy or switch a provider. They make the top of the list of the most dangerous drivers. Lawyers, who report 44% previous accidents, are followed by financial professionals, government employees, bartenders, waiters, and business executives.
The safest drivers are homemakers and professional athletes. They drive more carefully, do not have to hurry as often as busy people, rarely talk on phone and can avoid driving in rush hour. While homemakers might have such a distraction as passengers (as a rule, children are on the ride with their parents), they do their best to be more cautious and slow while driving in order to provide safest ride for the children. As a result, only 24% homemakers and 17% athletes report about previous accidents.
It might sound interesting that sportsmen make it into the list of the safest drivers, while their coaches are in the top 10 dangerous list: they take the ninth spot after the barbers and hairdressers.
