The company gives you a small wireless device which plugs into your car. This device helps the insurance company to know how much and when the auto is driven, how well the driver follows the rules, if he applies the acceleration too often, etc. If the device will notify you as a safe driver, the provider can give you a lower premium. MyRate is already available for Alabama drivers who apply for the policy online, by phone or through the insurance agents.
