Subaru did a bad job with its last vehicles. After the tests made by NHTSA the Japanese auto maker has to recall 16,715 autos for double check and fixing.
All 2007-08 Legacy sedans and wagons, 2008 Impeza sedans and wagons and 2009 Forester 2.5-liter turbo models have to be recalled due to the engine assembly problem. The recall will start in November. According to the NHTSA report, the engine compartment can get on fire because of the improper assembly of the cylinder head-side oil supply part and turbocharger side-pipe.
Terrible things you can read in this document: "Vibration would occur while driving, and over time could eventually result in cracking the pipe, which would allow oil to leak. If leaking oil contacts components operating at high temperatures, an engine compartment fire could occur."
So, if you are one of the unlucky owners of a Subaru vehicle listed above, you’d better run to the dealership. The agents there will check the engine on cracks, oil leaks or any other problems to be sure you will not have a trouble with the auto later. They will also install an additional braket to make the pipe more rigid.
If you do not know where the closest dealership is or you want to know more about the recall, contact Subaru at (800) 782-2783.

Last year Fiat 500 became the European Car of the Year. An Italian car is a pretty obvious result for an award like this. This year it is a little different.
