Toyota Etios Concept

Toyota EFC

In the very beginning of 2010 Toyota is planning to introduce new Entry Family Car. Its debut is planned for the first days of January at the Delhi show called Auto Expo 2010. The car will come under the name Etios which means “the origin of”.

The company is planning two styles: notchback and hatchback. Both of them are coming to the exhibition in 90% true to production variant. Toyota is planning to start sales with notch and in three months the customers will see hatchback as well.

Etios is offered with a variety of engine options: it can be 1.4-liter diesel like on Yaris, 1.2- or 1.3-liter gasoline motors which meet Indian standards. The manufacturer says there will be only one wiper on the car. The interior is made in a plain cheap way to meet the price settings: the majority of elements are made in hard-wearing plastic.

The sales of Etios will start in the end of 2010. The primary market for the small car is India, where Toyota has one of the biggest plants. In fact, the facility in India is planned to be the world leading one for Etios.
