Toyota was one of the first companies which offered vehicles with the alternative variants of fuel. Right now its designers are working on developing new V8 engines which will use ecologically clean diesel. It also makes a variant of already existing 4.7-liter V8 engine pick-ups which will run on ethanol.

The new Tundra truck will be sent to the production with the new diesel engine in 2011-2012. It is going to be a powerful pick-up vehicle the main purpose of which will be towing heavy equipment (like boats or horse-trailers) or it can be used in the commercial ways.

In the beginning of this year Toyota has already launched the production of Land Cruiser 200 in Australia. It has 4.5-liter V8 diesel engine. Probably, this version of the engine will be a prototype to Tundra and Sequoia pick-ups’ engines in U.S.
