German tuning specialists prove to the whole world, they can do a great job, by working on the most famous vehicles and adding special features to them. Just recently Abt Sportsline, the Volkswagen Group tuners, has revealed the result of their work on Audi Q5.
First of all, the specialists made the car look more aggressive with huge rear wing and front bumper with an air-intake system. Under the back of the auto you can see a four-pipe muffler, which increases with power and helps the Audi to sound more dramatic.
20-inch wheels raise the vehicle from the ground to make it feel more like a Jeep than a crossover. The tuners also added new springs to the suspension, electronic lowering system for the Audi’s center of gravity and 15-inch brake discs for a good stopping power.
Abt Sportline worked on the car’s engine as well: Power S trim was put on the 3.0-lited TDI, which helps to increase the power to 310 hp and torque to 451 pound-feet. The 2.0-liter models received more strength too: now the diesels have 190 hp and TFSI gasoline engines produce 240 hp.
Audi plans to launch the North American sales of highly advertised compact SUV, Q5, in March. The manufacturer says it will be an equal competitor to the other foreign sport-utility autos like BMW X3, Lexus RX 350 and Infiniti EX35.
Two strong companies: the German automaker, Audi, and Italian high fashion clothing company, Prada, - announced about their plans to work together.
The 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon is going to present the tuned up Nissan 370Z next week.
As many other auto manufacturers Audi did not have good sales year and according to the November report the 2008 sales were 35% down comparing to the 2007.
German tuning company, Hamann, is experimenting again with a vehicle which you might think is perfectly made from the very beginning, but the tuner knows exactly what to add to make the car even better and stronger.
