U.K. Is the First Country to Receive Fiat 500C

If Chrysler-Fiat partnership will work out fine, one of the new cars U.S. customers will receive is Fiat 500C presented at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show. In the beginning Italian manufacturer wants to bring standard Fiat 500 which might as well be followed with the convertible version. So far the sales of the 500C are starting in the U.K.

The minicar runs on 1.2-liter gasoline engine with 79 –horsepower, 1.4-liter 100-hp or turbodiesel 1.3-liter with 75 “horses”. All models come with standard air-conditioning, air bags and radio/CD/MP3 player. The most advanced Lounge version also has automatic climate control, rear parking sensors and alloy wheels. The minicar is priced for $16,200-$20,200.

Customers are offered a variety of body colors and even convertible top can be red, ivory or black. The same goes to wheels – manufacturer can equip 500C with 14-inch, 15-inch or 16-inch wheels if the customer has preferences.

Italian manufacturer decided to start sales of the new convertible minicar not in its native country as most of automakers do, but in U.K.
