Daimler Leaves Tata

Daimler AG has announced that is sold 5.34% of the stake in Tata Motors. The German company has raised more than $400 million for the shares it did not want to hold any more.

BYD Is Trying to Work with Daimler

BYD is the Chinese battery and EV specialist which has recently decided to form a joint venture with the German Daimler AG. Although the companies are going to work together on many projects, Chinese media has announced that BYD is not planning to share its core technology on lithium-ion batteries and EV systems with the partner.

GM and Its Weak Brands

General Motors does not have much luck with the brands it was going to sell. From the very beginning the manufacturer did not have much hope for any future of Pontiac and the brand was completely eliminated. Saturn/Opel had several potential buyers, but the deals were not successful as GM thought, so it still belongs to the American company.

Speaking Instead of Texting

Although they are making it illegal to type and send text messages while driving, many people are not going to stop doing so. It is hard to enforce this law; this is why researchers start working on some technologies which could make texting easier and less distractive.
